I’ve always considered myself to be an athletic person, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I took up running. I know how powerful and important exercise is for health and wellness but running really took my healthy lifestyle to the next level. Since then, I’ve tried to find ways to challenge myself and make my running experience more beneficial and enjoyable. From training for long distance running to focusing on hitting my target heart rate each time I run, there’s always something that makes running fresh and new for me.

A friend of mine recently told me about the Joggo App. This training app is designed to help you reach your fitness goals, live a healthier lifestyle and really embrace running. You don’t have to be an experienced runner to use this app. I don’t consider myself to be a very good runner. I’m quite slow, but I strive to get my runs done each day. I like the versatility of this app, allowing me to use it how I see fit.

I want to share some information with you regarding the Joggo App. If you’re a current runner, I know that you’re going to enjoy this app. If you’ve never really run before, now might be the perfect time to get started with the help of Joggo.

Joggo is a running app that helps users develop a running schedule and routine, lose weight, manage stress and follow a healthy lifestyle. It has a very simple and user-friendly setup, so you can use it whether you’ve been running all your life or you're brand new to it. You can set your parameters to help you reach a certain distance or focus more on pacing yourself. You can also learn to relax when running.

Joggo provides three key features to those who download it and register. You receive personalized training, motivational resources and tons of education. I love this app because you can start out using it for a specific reason, and it’s still relevant as you become a better runner or change your motivation for running. You truly determine how and why you’re using Joggo.

What’s Inside the Joggo App?

Let’s take a close look at what’s actually inside the Joggo app once you’ve downloaded it and you register.

Personalized Training Program

Running is something that is experienced very differently by people. Personally, I try to get a shorter run done but frequently throughout the week. It’s common for me to run five to six days per week. I have other running friends that will run close to 10 miles, but they only do it a couple of times per week. There isn’t a right or wrong way to run, and Joggo allows you to personalize different aspects of your running schedule. You can run at your own pace, train at your own pace and set new goals as you see fit. You also learn how to prevent injury, better prepare for your run and eat in a manner that is healthy but also provides you with energy.

Weight Loss Tracker

If you’re running for weight loss, it’s really helpful to keep track of data as you progress. Joggo helps you track your weight loss, track your runs and change up your entire schedule based on the results you’re trying to achieve. You may find that a specific plan works really well for a while. If you hit a plateau, you can change your schedule accordingly.

Workouts

In addition to your runs, workouts are an excellent complement to your exercise. You can include workouts in your Joggo routine, whether they’re done on the same days as your runs, or you alternate to see the best results possible. There are a lot of different options available on this app.

Personalized Meal Plan

When you’re running on a regular basis, diet is an extremely important aspect of your physical activity. Running requires a lot of energy, or you quickly feel fatigued. You may also have trouble recovering after a run if you’re not getting enough specific nutrients and protein. You can develop a personalized meal plan with the use of Joggo, tracking your protein intake, macronutrients, carbohydrates, etc.

Running Tracker

Keep track of your runs so you can see how much you’ve accomplished. Your data will include the distance that you’ve run, the pace you’ve run at and even the elevation that you encountered along the way. You can also find ways to work your runs into your busy schedule. Joggo has helped me make running a non-negotiable part of my day.

Treadmill Mode

You don’t have to use Joggo when you’re running outdoors. It works when you’re using a treadmill indoors as well. You just need to remember to mark that your run took place on a treadmill. You won’t get readings for things like distance, pace or elevation, however.

Audio Guidance

The audio portion of Joggo walks you through different parts of your run. From your warmup to your cool down and everything in between, you’ll feel like you’re working with a personal trainer and amazing running buddy who keeps you motivated and focused.

Educational Content

There’s a lot to learn as a runner is what I’ve come to figure out. The Joggo app teaches you all kinds of things, even how you should be breathing when you’re running to maximize your power and performance. You can also learn about the right foods to eat for fuel and how to prevent or treat injuries.

Can You Lose Weight with the Joggo Running App?

There is a portion of the Joggo running app that can help you with your weight loss journey. Like I said, that’s what’s great about Joggo. You can use it for all kinds of things. I admittedly started my running journey with the intention of dropping a few pounds. Not only does being able to track your runs help you figure out your productivity, but you can also learn so much about nutrition. Joggo is a lot different from other weight loss apps and programs, which is why I found it tempting. I learned plenty about weight loss when using Joggo, but that wasn’t all I was focusing on.

My Experience with the Joggo Running App

I started using the Joggo running app about one year ago. I can’t say enough about how much my running experience has changed since then. I was never a runner before, so I feel like I can accurately describe how this app changes your life. I wasn’t an avid runner for years before trying it out. I was using it from the beginning of my running journey until now. Allow me to describe what I did and didn’t like about Joggo.

What I Liked

The Joggo app works for runners of all fitness levels. I used it in the beginning, and I’m still able to use it today. The app has grown along with me. Some of the information was very relevant when starting out. I didn’t know much about stretching before a run or how to prevent getting injured. That information was available on the Joggo app for me, but I don’t necessarily reference it anymore. There are other aspects of the app that I find much more helpful. I’m hoping that there is still a lot to discover that will keep Joggo relevant in the future.

One thing I was worried about when I started running was being able to maintain my activity level. There are some other aspects of fitness that I’ve found to be useful, but I would often get very sore and feel like I couldn’t keep up. Joggo helped me by way of their educational material, but I also found tracking my runs to be incredibly important. I could pinpoint when I needed to work on rest days, and I figured out that some of my soreness was linked to running on varying elevations. With a little bit of adjustment and pre-planning, I’ve been able to make the most of my runs.

What I Didn’t Like

It’s not something I necessarily didn’t like, but I just haven’t used it yet. Joggo offers some different supplements that can help boost your weight loss and performance. You can use them to increase endurance, hydrate your muscles and boost your metabolism. I don’t know much about how well they work.

The only other downside to my experience is that you can really get lost in the app and all of its resources. I was talking to my friend one day (who also uses Joggo) and had no idea what they were talking about in regard to a portion of the app that they utilize. I didn’t know that feature even existed. So, it does take a little bit of time to navigate everything and determine how you want to use Joggo for your own running.

What Could Be Improved

Something that might be a nice feature of Joggo would be the ability to work with a personal trainer or assistant. One-on-one counseling to help improve your runs even more is something I would consider signing up for. It would be nice to talk to a professional now and again instead of having to figure out what I need to change about my runs on my own.

How Much Is Joggo?

If you’re trying to figure out if Joggo is an affordable running app, I have the price point information available for you. The prices are currently $33 for a 3-month subscription, $46 for 6 months and it costs $66 for a 12-month plan. You will have to pay an additional amount of money if you want to utilize Joggo’s supplements.

Weight Loss Success Stories Using Joggo App

Joggo advertises that they have over 90,000 happy customers that have used their app since it was created. A lot of people report that they enjoyed using Joggo because it helped them develop a healthier relationship with food. Rather than having to limit calories in order to lose weight, people have been able to slightly tweak what they’re eating and then work in runs to help burn off calories.

Having a running routine to follow has helped people with their weight loss, mental health, performance and much more. There are people on the Joggo app that are training for full marathons, and then there are others that are just running a few times per week for fitness purposes.

You can view some of the Joggo reviews on the Joggo website, which is located at https://joggo.run/en.

Joggo App Alternatives

There are some other running and fitness apps out there that offer different features and benefits. If you don’t think Joggo is for you or you want to find something more affordable, here are some of my recommended alternatives.

1st Phorm App

app 1st phorm

The 1st Phorm fitness app can help you lose weight, build muscle, learn about nutrition, improve your routine and consistency and much more. All of the tools that you need are located in one fitness app. This product provides information on nutrition, counting your macros, live streams for educational purposes and even community support. You can even join challenges to keep you motivated. Regular assessments help you stay consistent while producing results, and you even get to check in with an advisor periodically.

Future Fitness

app future fitness

Future Fitness allows you to build customized workouts that you can complete whenever it’s convenient for you. This app helps you stay motivated, educated and keeps you accountable for your fitness routine. Some people use Future Fitness for weight loss, but it’s also a great way to get back to the gym and stay focused. There are different coaches on the app that provide excellent guidance and support. You can work with them one-on-one, but the cost is a little hefty. It’s currently $149 per month for personal training.

Obe Fitness

app obe fitness

Obe Fitness is an app that offers all kinds of workout videos that you can partake in. Boxing, dancing, sculpting, pilates, bounce and cycling are just some of what you can choose from. A lot of the users report that they started using Obe Fitness for a specific type of workout, but they were able to stay focused on their workout by eventually trying some of the other things on the app when they got bored with their current workout routine. There are 20 live classes daily with over 8,000 other on-demand options.

Peloton App

app peleton

You’ve probably heard of the Peloton app by now. Originally it started out as a cycling-based app, but you can now connect to thousands of different classes that are run by expert-level instructors. With great music thrown in, you’ll start to love your workouts. You don’t need any equipment for a lot of the workouts, so don’t feel like this has to be an expensive fitness app option that requires you to purchase an indoor bike or something like that. You can peruse your options by workout type, or you can pick a certain part of the body that you want to sculpt and tone.

The Bottom Line: Is the Joggo App Legit?

I would recommend Joggo to anyone that is considering starting up with a jogging routine and doesn’t really know how or where to begin. It’s even great for people who are currently running but want to find a way to improve their current experience. You can keep going without having to feel discouraged by injuries or soreness. You can prevent these things before they even occur.
